Latest Machining
The bell house pictured is the latest part to be machined on our twin spindle Doosan Lynx lathe with live tooling. The beautifully finished part was picked off using wrap around pie jaws to support the thin wall, which had been machined to match the profile. The part measures 6.5 inch diameter.
The second part, a refill nozzle for a motorsport application was completed in one cycle on out Doosan MX Lathe. The 5 axis angled head allows us to approach the angled face straight on for simplified production and improved machining. The milling capability affords us to use a long reach radiused milling cutter to produce the deep groove in cycle.

Mach 2018 – Registration now Live
Visitors to this years Mach 2018 are invited to register early. This year sees an emphasis on the future of manufacturing and how it connects with technology. To demonstrate this, a new way for visitors to gain from the exhibition with everybody being provided with an interactive badge has been introduced. Visitors will be able to collect information from exhibitors in a quick and effective manner. Taking away the need to carry around brochures and paperwork. This year also sees a change of venue, with a move to the atrium side of the NEC, allowing the whole of the exhibition to be on one level.

First parts off our new Matsuura!
The first parts are now successfully completed off our new 5 axis Matsuura. The part machined from 4 inch x 3 inch x 250mm Aluminium used 37 tools and included many complex features including two bores 180mm deep, that were finished with an adjustable boring head to achieve the required surface finish. The part features over 200 measurable dimensions and required a fully detailed first article inspection report.
