Ultra wins award!
Ultra Precision is delighted to have received an annual award from one of its customers for the second year in a row. The award for continuous improvement was presented to Ultra last week by a large multi-national company with sites in every continent and a multi-billion turnover. The award is a result of actions we have put in place to reduce costs to this customer. This has included a number of initiatives on machine capability and cleaning processes. The main factor, however, has been our ability to re-design parts and advise on cheaper material alternatives, permitting us to reduce component costs extensively. This has been achieved by allowing us to view and study finished assemblies and understand their use.
The improvements we have continued to make has resulted in us being recommended to tender against suppliers in other European countries and to supply a number of their European production facilities.
